My politics were fundamentally shaped by my experience growing up on a council estate in Manchester. I witnessed first-hand the devastation inflicted on our communities by 14 years of Tory austerity, and that’s why I joined the Labour Party at the age of 14.
Since then, I have been proud to mobilise, collaborate with, and empower members as Vice Chair (Membership) and Women’s Officer of my CLP, and as Chair of my university Labour Club.
Labour’s victory in 2024 created a historic opportunity to rebuild Britain. Crucial progress has been made with regards to employment rights, public transport networks, and the transition to a greener economy - but we must go further.
Reform presents a real and dangerous threat to our communities. At a time of political polarisation and divisive populism, Labour must offer bold, credible solutions that rebuild trust and deliver meaningful change. On key issues such as housing, public ownership, climate justice and poverty, I will advocate for transformative policies that address the structural inequalities holding our communities back.
On the National Policy Forum, I will champion ambitious, inclusive policies. I will work to ensure that members’ voices are heard, and I will always prioritise equality, opportunity, and social justice.
I’m proud to be supported by Momentum and the CLGA. Please also support Mike Garvey.
